The paintings here show a stage in my artistic development. Behind each one there is a thought process. Like a diary, they remind me of thoughts and feelings. I hope the viewer will recognize something in them, some emotional common ground.

I am drawn to beauty and tranquility and sometimes my work approaches these qualities. I make distilled equivalents of subjects more or less represented. A tiny world, a refuge, "a private country" if you like.
