Painting Holidays in Ojen

For your next painting holiday come to Ojen. The village is a lovely "white village" in the Andalucia area of Spain, which overlooks the Mediterranean and the coast of North Africa. The Moorish past shows in the maze of narrow streets, although it's hard to get lost, as downhill always leads to the square.

Ojen is only fifteen minutes away from Marbella and less than an hour from Malaga airport. The Sierra de las Nieves Nature Park also surrounds the village, where you will find plenty of light and inspiration.

The art course aims to increase awareness of basic principles and open up new horizons in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Experience shows that individuals' work may advance dramatically after following certain guidelines. There is also an opportunity to exchange ideas and encouragement with fellow artists who have varied aims and levels of experience.

Tuition will include the use of different mediums such as watercolour, acrylics and oils, together with drawing and sketching techniques. Students are actively encouraged to try new materials and approaches.

Local accommodation is provided in La Posada del Angel near to the village square. With just seventeen bedrooms, each with it's own eclectic mix of furniture from around the world, this is a lovely place to be. Around the village are various restaurants and tapas bars, all within easy walking distance of the hotel.
